Mine MEdical Support

Mine Medical Support Lead:   Rod Shabbick

The original mission of the Special Medical Response Team was to provide advanced life support to the mining industry. This is achieved by an agreement with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) Bureau of Mine Safety (BMS) and memorandums of understanding with individual companies and agencies.
